On Safari With A Simple Chunky Knit

I love a chunky knit. And by “chunky knit” I refer to anything knitted, of any material, that is ridiculously oversized for one’s frame. But, this item looks and feels so cozy, you just don’t care. And, it’s the cozy and warm feeling that gives you the confidence to look past others gawking at you like you’ve gone totally nuts. In this case, I sat outside my safari tent in Kenya to enjoy the scenery from the hilltop location. I wore a Damir Doma “cweater” – pronounced “kwet-ter” – which is my made-up word for a cape/sweater combo. This one, made in France, was beautifully woven from alpaca, wool and cotton with bone-like, resin decoration panels in the front. It is unique, beautiful and perfect for the time and place. Go big or go home.
