Oslo is becoming a Nordic capital known for its interesting architecture projects, museums and beauty. I visited the stunning Astrup Fearnley Museum to take-in local and international art on a sunny day. But the exterior is as equally as beautiful as the interior. The mix of materials, including wood, glass and steel make for an interesting combination and variation in texture. I took this picture outside wearing a custom-made, limited edition pair of sunglasses from my absolute favorite Scandinavian eyewear designer, Oscar Magnuson.
Oscar’s work is unique in the industry and harkens back to the days of eyewear made from the most interesting and special materials. This pair of “NIKI” shades are in a pale grey that have almost a blush hue to them. They’re fantastic and are comfortable to wear with the body being hand-carved acetate and the lenses being flat mineral glass. They’re a true work of art.
