Shopping in Nairobi is always fun. It entails identifying something of interest and haggling for a few minutes until you and the seller arrive on a mutually agreeable price. Since haggling is something I just inherently love to do, shopping in this city is right up my alley.
I walked along the dirt roads to the Masaai Market looking for something special. And, luckily, I found so many “special” items I had to ship them home because they wouldn’t fit in my suitcase. It was a beautiful day so I wore a black cotton, embroidered East African tunic by Nick Ondu. My pants are black silk by Givenchy and my sandals are made from car tire by local Turkana craftsmen.
