Madeira is an island surrounded by nothing but open sea. The sparkling sea here happens to be home to groups and families of dolphin and whales that make the waters their home for much of the year.
As a visitor to the island, one “must-do” experience is to see these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. Through a company known as Rota dos Cetáceos, you can spend a few hours on the sea, in an intimate boat, to take-in the splendors of these creatures – getting as up-close and personal with them as possible while still staying dry.
