The Beresford Restaurant, inside the lovely Quinta Jardins Do Lago hotel, is a worthwhile choice for anyone looking for a fantastic meal on the island of Madeira.
The restaurant, located in a stately and richly decorated space, offers guests a meal composed of local specialties made fresh with the best ingredients imaginable.
The quinta, now the hotel, was once the home of General Beresford – commander of the British Armed Forces.
This is where the restaurant’s name is derived from. As a guest at dinner, you can spend forever pouring over the well-curated menu loaded with delicious options.
This makes it very difficult to choose – but, the good news is that no matter what you choose, you’re bound to like it.
The menu offers a variety of dishes like tuna, Black Scabbard, duck, veal and chicken.
Many of the vegetables used in the dishes are grown on site, including the herbs that are harvested from a garden near the pool.
