The whitewashed streets of Mykonos are iconic. The world has been inundated with images of its white buildings, blue doors and cobblestone streets, since Greece first marketed itself as a perfect summertime vacation destination. Not too much has changed since then, and you can still stroll the tiny lanes and be inspired by the beauty of the island.

I did just that, recently, on a three-day stay there. I spent the afternoon taking advantage of the low season and wandering the streets alone. I stopped at various places as the beauty of the color and the place was overwhelming. The buildings in Mykonos reflect the sun and the sea – a unique combination. I was taken by the blue hue of the locale and dressed in a pair of navy nautical linen Japanese pants I found recently in Tokyo. I love the rope detailing around the waist and mid-thigh. I paired them with a casual white oxford from Alexandre Plokhov and a pair of amazing slippers with Tuna detail from my absolute favorite iconic shoe brand, Stubbs and Wootton.
