Table Mountain is not a new site in Cape Town, but seeing it like this is. Normally a national park with swarms of people waiting to get to the top via cable car to take-in the splendor, now is the best time to feel as if you have the entire place to yourself. Table Mountain offers panoramic views of Cape Town and the coast, and you can sit at sunset and watch the sun dip below the surface of the horizon before heading back to ground level.
Aside from Table Mountain in Cape Town, it’s essential to see Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Cape Point and the nearby Constantia Wine Route. Cape Town’s glory is easily traversed now and will only remain this way for a short while. On a recent visit, I was able to see all of these sites again in a new way – though I had experienced them all before. I recommend the same for anyone looking to have a moment to yourself in some of South Africa’s most famous corners.
