Central Lima is an amalgamation of historic sights that find themselves piled upon each other in a few well-planed squares. Plaza de Armas is my favorite which sees a large central square featuring fountains and vendors selling everything from ice cream to street-side arroz con pollo. One can make an afternoon of walking around the stone floors stumbling through beautiful cathedrals, palaces and even the residential home of Lima’s archbishop. You’ll also see sights like the House of Oidor, House of Pilatos, Cathedral of Lima and more. There is a great deal in this small area and it will keep you entertained for hours.
