A stately Palazzo, Palazzo Parisio, built in the late 1800s, stands tall on a street corner in the small area of Naxxar, Malta. Half event space, half private residence, the palazzo offers a delectable restaurant, Luna, serving lunch and a tea experience in their opulent gardens.
I was a recent guest here and spent the afternoon meandering through gardens, which are loaded with roses, lilies and other species of flowers – punctuated by babbling fountains.
Sitting at a linen-covered table I spent two hours over tea, Silver Needles White Tea to be exact, and indulging on the kitchen’s homemade sandwiches, scones and sweet treats.
The afternoon was perfect and, for me, one of the most fun and beautiful experiences to have on Malta.
