Duckie Brown’s Steven Cox and Daniel Silver, two forward-thinking designers, are truly at the forefront of innovation. Their recent show at NYFW: Mens illustrated that their team has a strong grasp on trends to come, leaning-in for a new frontier in menswear. The show featured items like oversized pants with cinched waists paired with nipple-bearing organza shirts – what? Amazing. The aim wasn’t to shock but offer an oversized, Yohji Yamamoto-esque take on New York fashion to come. It was all so Japanese. The colors began bland, with whites and faded blues, but found pops of excitement with navy, lilac and yellow.
I loved these looks most and hope to be able to tailor the pieces I plan to purchase next year correctly without destroying the silhouette.
