With just seven suites, the Frost Boutique Hotel in the summer holiday town of Pärnu, Estonia, is a modern and elegant retreat to kick back and relax. The Frost was named after a local merchant, Joachim Frost, and the original structure was built in 1705. Today it serves as an ultra-convenient and chic getaway for Estonians and visitors.
The quaint property is a respite for design lovers. Inside its doors you will find roughly hewn wide-plank wood floors, classic oil paintings hanging on the walls above contemporary steel and glass furniture, a warm color palette of cream and white and objet d’art propped across the central lobby and living room. Small crystal pitchers with orange-infused water are placed for your enjoyment and breakfast is served, usually, in the central living room by a roaring fire, most of the year.
The seven suites are decorated differently, many with views across the ancient buildings standing nearby. Out your window you might catch a glimpse of copper patina or a mint colored wood dating back to the 1600s. Inside the rooms, modern amenities welcome you back to the 21st century. Cozy beds with plush bedding, flat screen televisions, glass and tiled showers and sitting areas. Each room is decorated differently and named to reflect its interior. There are names like: the Ivory Suite, the Chocolate Suite and the Vanilla Suite. The details here are very special.
You don’t see many staff members milling about – except for a well-attended front desk. At The Frost, you feel more like a guest in a friend’s home. It’s all very “casual-elegant”. You won’t find a better place in the area to base yourself to explore Pärnu and the nearby islands.
