Shopping the streets in Cartagena in fun, hot and, often, sweaty. You find yourself stopping every three feet for a quick cool-off. It’s necessary to take a break from the sun and, down any given lane, you will find the most beautiful edifices, cobblestones and air-conditioned boutiques to visit. I went for a shopping stroll through El Centro Histórico or, the “historical center” of town. I wore a navy and white striped cotton button-down from Sandro, denim pants by Balenciaga, silvered-leather boat shoes by Saint Laurent, a woven blue hat by Reinhard Plank and sunglasses from Sanford Hutton provided by Caserta Eye in New York City.
