Lisbon is known for its colorful skyline. Echoes of pink, white and red-tiled roofs fill the sky with the most amazing colors at sunrise and sunset. On an early autumn day in Portugal’s capital city, I went to the roof of The Four Seasons Ritz Hotel to peer-out at the majestic views. The hotel’s rooftop is lined with a race track for guests to walk or run on, in an effort to stay healthy while traveling. The track inspired me.
I love the idea of keeping yourself at the head of the race, letting negativity and opposition fade into the background. I think this is life’s greatest challenge as those things are in constant pursuit of you, your mind and your energy. It’s a race to stay ahead of them so you don’t get sucked-into their grasp. But, with the right mentality, it’s a piece of cake.
On the roof of The Four Seasons Lisbon I wore an entire look from local designer Nuno Gama’s autumn/winter 2014 collection. I wore a pair of black skinny leather pants, a silver gray woolen chunky knit and black leather sandals from Marc Jacobs. My shades are by New York designer Sanford Hutton. It was perfect for the weather that day.
