Laiterie Charlevoix Cheese Economuseum is located along route 138 is pastoral Charlevoix, and looks like a typical farm at first glance. As you drive by, you’ll notice a large amount of land, cows, farm equipment and a small farmhouse – which has been turned into a store for visiting guests.
And, since 1948, this cheese and dairy operation has been known for showcasing the best in the cheese-making process to passersby.
I stopped-in while in the region to see the family-run cheese production, and taste their delicious products. You can purchase their cheese throughout Québec and other parts of Canada, but not in the United States. Don’t miss their sharp cheddar variety, as it is some of the best I’ve tasted anywhere else in the world.
