In 2003, Reinhard Plank began to recycle hats and reshape them to fit his own personal style, bearing to the world his first original hat shape – now known as “il classico”. As a result of his curiosity, he then relocated to Tuscany in 2005 to approach the storied and traditional art of hat making. In the same year, he participated at his first Pitti Uomo and emerged as a confident hat and cap designer. In 2007, continuing with his constant evolution as a designer, Plank designed his first pair of shoes, and has been producing men’s and women’s styles ever since. Today, Plank’s hats are known within the industry as durable, stylish, tough yet elegant options to accessorize and ensemble. Often, their dye-patterns, construction and shapes are unique, which make them stand out amongst all the others within the marketplace.
