Meeting world-renowned mountain climber Iván Vallejo was an uplifting experience. He embodies what “inspired citizen” means and the idea that you can make a change in your life no matter what your age. So, what was I going to wear for such an important interview? Was I going to be serious? Informal? Maybe an alpaca poncho? In an effort not to scare him off, I stuck with simplicity. I wore charcoal Helmut Lang jeans, a white shirt from Saint Laurent, a navy blazer with gold buttons from Trovata and YSL sneakers. It was easy breezy, comfortable and made me channel my inner Matt Lauer. It worked.
