Royal Palace Oslo - 1
The Royal Palace, Slottet in Norwegian, in Oslo, was built in the first half of the 19th century as the Norwegian residence of the French King Charles III of Sweden, who reigned as king of Norway and Sweden. The palace is the official residence of the present Norwegian monarch. The crown prince resides at Skaugum in Asker west of Oslo. But, this palace is spectacular. With 173 rooms, it’s not your average second home.
As a visitor, you can stroll around the palace through the beautiful green park of Slottsparken and catch a guided tour during the summer. The changing of the guard is also something to see, as its intricacy is fascinating.
