You don’t have to be a banana lover to visit the Armenime banana plantation. Tenerife is known for its ideal banana-growing environment and, in fact, Spain owes much of the presence of bananas in local markets on the mainland to this little island. You can stop-in for a tour of the property with the on-site manager and learn about their production, the trees, the process of harvesting and more. My favorite part was, of course, tasting the delicious banana varieties and sampling the locally made banana liqueur.
