The Four Seasons Milan is known as one of the city’s most opulent, service-oriented hotels. But, there’s another reason to stay at this property while visiting Italy’s fashion capital. Lining the quiet, elegant streets where the hotel sits are innumerable storefronts including fashion favorites like: Moschino, Versace, Luciano Barbera and more.
Of course, you can rely on the Four Seasons for incredible rooms and service – in fact they recently completed a renovation, which left a newly designed wing outfitted with high-tech quarters and bathrooms larger than many New York City apartments. But, my personal favorite here is the spa. Tucked underground with separate steam baths and saunas for men and women (very important in my book), as well as a gorgeous pool, you can spend an entire day being pampered with treatments and the amenities that surround you.
After a day of shopping along Via Gesù, return to the hotel to dine at the delicious La Veranda restaurant.
Executive Chef Vito Mollica and Marco Veneruso, who is the restaurant’s chef de cuisine, lead the eatery. The menu features local and Mediterranean dishes, with tasting menus on offer as well.
You might find scallop carpaccio with burrata cheese cream, porcini mushroom risotto with Iberian pork chorizo, apricot-stuffed quail or homemade tiramisu. And, in true Four Seasons style, service is outstanding.
Anyone with fashion and food on the top of their “to do” list in Milan will be very happy at this hotel. In fact, you may not want to stay at any other during future trips. I know I don’t.
