There are many restaurants in Adelboden but the best lies inside the chic and modern Cambrian Hotel. The restaurant inside the hotel beckons both locals and visitors with its “new Alpine” cuisine and stunning views of the Alps. With ingredients sourced just a few miles from Adelboden, you can count of fresh and seasonal produce as well as local meats to make-up your menu.

The menu is small with few options. The chef curates that which is truly fresh and available that day. When I visited, it happened to be a fantastic ahi tuna which was flown-in fresh that morning. An entree of creamy risotto was also prepared with root vegetables – it was to die for.

Dessert at the restaurant is simple and usually consists of one or two options. I had to skip, unfortunately, that evening but ended the night with a cup of fresh mint tea in front of the nearby fire. You won’t find better in Adelboden, especially if you’re a foodie. Be sure to visit The Cambrian for both a stay and a meal – you won’t regret it.
