The Copacabana Palace hotel in Rio de Janeiro is iconic. Walking down the halls and into the grand spaces, you can feel the presence of those who have passed through over the years. Rita Hayworth, Princess Diana and Madonna – they’ve all been guests. My favorite part of the hotel is in the central courtyard, by the pool. I ate lunch on a recent afternoon at the beautiful poolside Pérgula restaurant. Around the restaurant are fabulous white couches with pops of color. Pillows and lampshades emblazoned with palm leaves, blue waves and more. Lush tropical vegetation also adds to the ambiance, orchids hanging from the trees. I was inspired to dress for the occasion. I chose black goatskin skinny trousers and a long white overcoat by Brazilian brand Osklen. Under, I wore a sheer black Rick Owens tee. My shoes are worn leather boots by Marsell.
